Credit card or Debit card

Guess the business of paperless transaction is going well!! http://s.nyt.com/u/AVz

When you start to work, one of thing that might be in your mind is : having credit card. Why? Humm not sure tho'

But as a woman, many cases that one getting trouble with it. Credit card allow you to have new prada bag, new LV coat, etc, all in discounted price!! But then, realize that she has more debt than income, she got into big trouble. Even though she got a cheaper price, but at the end, she need to pay to the interest rates of the debt or penalty fee. Bang!! And the money goes to the bank!! Yeah that is one way how they get money from us, other than charging the stores 1 cent of every dollar purchase.

With a lot restriction and troubles to have it, why people still want it? Prestigious card? Or lifestyle? For easy life? Or maybe all of them?

Why credit card?
Paperless transaction? Really? Are you really that green? The benefit of having it, hummm you can buy something while you dont have money and at discounted price.

Sama halnya gamble, pada saat orgnya menang, he/she will be happy, tapi kalo lagi kalah ujung2nya rugi juga.

Setelah gw pikir2 lagi, diskon2 yg dikasih jga gak gede2 banget, paling2 sekitar 10%-20%, kcuali makan pake credit card mandiri yg diskonnya bsa sampai 50%, I dont know what kind of deal they have.. Untuk pembelian kecil/sehari2, diskon segitu gak begitu berarti banyak, but for big ticket? Yes it is a lot of money. Let say, you buy a rolex watch, it costs you maybe 2500 SGD, when you pay with credit card, you might have 250 SGD rebated.

Paperless transaction, sebenernya keuntungan buat kita. Tentu bkn jamannya lagi bawa2 dompet tebel berisi uang. Ini salah satu keuntungan tdk terbantahkan ttg credit card. Tapi credit crd punya competitors, seperti : debit card dan NETS (buat yg disingapur), even ez-link now can be used to shop.

Bayar perbulan atau pertahun.
Gak smua kartu mnta dibyar ( but most of them) biasanya mereka menghilangkan kewajiban membayae untuk beberapa tahun awal. Artinya, punya credit card, sebaiknya setelah pengeluaran kita banyak (setelah menikah misalnya). Tapi kalo memang free it would not be a problem, I guess.

Having idea that I can buy a thing when I dont have money is freaking me out. Secara gw baru punya duit sendiri, kind a shock untuk ngatur duit sendiri. For this, I am choosing debut card.

Punya debit card, feeling gak ngeluarin duit tapi dapet barang, that is the thing that make me worried. But at least, when the transaction is successful, means you have money... Not sure about the money left tho'

It's frightening and helpul at the same time.

I choose debit card still.

  1. Pake iPhone, pantesan.. Banyak typo. :)
